Victorious Nigerian team in the concluded Benine international
The newly led team Nigeria continued their prosperous form in competitions on the African continent after a landslide sweep of medals in the recently concluded Benine international.
Dorcas Adesokan defeated compatriot, Deborah Ukeh to clinch the female singles medal. Also, the Nigerian duo of Tosin Atolagbe and Zainab Momoh won the bronze singles medal in the female category.
On the other hand– the male doubles category, Enejo Abah and Abass Adamu emerged winners with gold as the remainder of the medals were all bagged by the Nigerian team.
Ivory Coast international champion, Anuoluwapo Opeyori, could not rekindle the fire as he won bronze alongside countryman, Clement Krobakpo, in the men singles.
The clean sweep and dominance continued for the Francis Orbih led team as they grabbed all there is in the mixed doubles category.
Sensational performances continues to trail the Nigerian Badminton team under the new administration which is headed by the current Lagos state Badminton chairman, Francis Orbi– whilst he is yet to be inaugurated.
