In what was an entertaining worthy final between Zainab Momoh of Oyo State and Ogun’s Atolagbe Tosin Davis, it took an intensive third game to determine our female champion for the 1st Lagos Governor’s South-West Badminton championship.
Zainab Momoh beat expectations to take the first game at 21-18 in what was a very close encounter however, Atolagbe Tosin Davis; the new mother, showed the crowd why she is one of Nigeria’s top shuttler with an equally close victory in game two.

The third round and decider saw both players gasp for air after an exhaustive first two matches but it was Zainab who proved to have more in her reservoir as she displayed her career’s best moment yet, to run away with the third round.
