Godwin Olofua of Lagos State has emerged the men singles champion after a breathe-taking three round of matches against Habeeb Bello of Oyo State.

In a thrilling final match between the duo, Godwin took the first round 21-18, before the ever resilient Habeeb staged an impressive fight-back to make it 1-1 at major scores with a 11-21 win.

The final and third round as envisaged would always have drama spilled all over it as Lagos’ Godwin Olofua held strong to take it home with a 21-16 victory.
